Special Education

Greenburgh Eleven is a New York State approved school district providing specialized programs and services to meet the needs of students from 5 years old through age 21.  Each student has their own individualized program with yearly goals and objectives.  If they have needs for related services, we have clinicians that can provide counseling, speech therapy as well as occupational therapies.  Students receive instruction according to their grade level but may have special modifications to address their processing and learning needs.  Assessment includes testing modifications such as questions read and time extended.  Special Education is designed for students who need additional assistance and multi-modal presentation in order to benefit from a free and appropriate public education.   You can download and read  The New York State Parent's Guide to Special Education
