  • Students are benchmarked in reading and math using NWEA MAP assessments

  • MAP replaces STAR and helps teachers tailor instruction to each student’s needs

  📚 Strengthening Literacy

  • Continued use of READ 180 through HMH

  • The phonemic awareness program System 44 is now The Code

  • Added Into Literature for grades 9–12 to support engaging, rigorous ELA instruction

  ➗ Building Math Confidence

  • i-Ready Math for grades K–8, offering personalized learning pathways that meet students where they are

  🔬 STEM & Hands-On Learning

  • In our second year of STEMscopes, a K–8 science curriculum focused on inquiry and real-world learning

  • Supported by STEMscopes specialists and professional development from a local staff developer

  • Expanding project-based learning opportunities

  • Current 7th graders may explore future pathways that do not require Regents exams

• Dr. Winsome Gregory - Recipient of the Champion of District Growth Award

  Congratulations to Dr. Gregory, Superintendent of Schools, who is the recipient of the Champion of District Growth Award.  Dr. Gregory's award was presented at the New York State Council of School Superintendents Excellence in Leadership event that was held on April 28, 2025 in Albany, New York.

  Greenburgh Eleven Career Fair 2025

  On April 2, 2025, Greenburgh Eleven School District hosted an exciting and informative Career Fair for students in grades 8-12. The event provided students with the opportunity to explore various career paths, engage with professionals from diverse industries, and gain valuable insights into their future endeavors.

  A huge thank you to all the presenters who shared their time and expertise, as well as to the Career Connected committee for organizing such a meaningful and engaging event!

• New Emphasis on Literacy

  We understand that every child's educational journey is unique, especially when faced with challenges like learning disabilities and emotional or behavioral difficulties.  This year, we are thrilled to announce our strengthened commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment that puts your child's literacy at the forefront of our mission.  Recognizing that the foundation of academic success lies in strong reading skills, we have invested significantly in specialized reading support, particularly for students who are struggling or have dyslexia.  We've expanded our team by hiring additional reading instructors and trained them in multisensory approaches to reading that address the individual needs of each student.  Rest assured, we are fully committed to working with you, the parents, and caregivers to unlock your child's full potential and open doors to a brighter future.  We believe that every child has the ability to succeed, and together, we'll make that belief a reality.
